Sam Yates's revival of Clifford Odets's Golden Boy at the Almeida Theatre (8 September – 31 October 2026), with Josh O'Connor as Joe Bonaparte — the Depression-era violinist who trades music for the boxing ring — alongside Daniel Mays, Hayley Squires, Stanley Townsend and Zubin Varla. Sound design and arrangements by Dan Balfour, composition by Isobel Waller-Bridge with a live string quartet on stage, set and costume by Rosanna Vize, lighting by James Farncombe and video by Jack Phelan. Filmed for National Theatre Live.
